Debut Preparations Part 1 | Venue and Decorations

Hi guys. I don't know how to make a proper greeting/introduction because I'm so lame at those stuffs.

Anyway, this blog post will mainly focus on the preparations I had for my debut last February. (And this is my "Welcome-back-update" too)

First preparation we had was to look for a suitable venue. It was June 2016 when we started looking for a place. My mother's first choice was Anhawan Beach Resort because she said "Partying at hotels is too mainstream" so she opted for a beach resort. Besides, my debut theme is "flowers" (because they're cute and girly and why not?).

Also, when I was 15 years old, I celebrated my birthday here too and their service are excellent.

The lady who attended to us said the big pavilion (pictures above and below) can fit around 300-400 guests blah blah blah. My mother really liked it because of the sea breeze and fresh air. However, it is yet to be confirm if the place is ours.

After a few months, the management confirmed that the venue is ours and we went back there again.

Next that we prepared were the decorations. I don't have any event planner/organizer. I just have myself and my family to help me with everything.

And so, for the flowers, my mother bought rubber mat from a local store down town. They're not very costly so she bought every color of it and I printed and cutted out flower petal stencils.

In the picture below, I stacked the petals of the same type but regroup them by color.

With a candle and glue sticks, I was able to create dozens of flowers. I combined the flowers of the same type but with different sizes and colors and they're not bad at all. (Excuse mah fat thighs)

Here are a few of the flowers I made.

Some of these D.I.Y flowers were wrapped around the venue's pillars while few were decorated at the arch (???)

The next D.I.Y decoration that I made was for the table centerpiece. I also printed and cutted out flower petal stencils and using a candle and some glue sticks and TADAAAH here they are. They look plain and simple and so, with a local rainbow flower, I put it in the middle.

The cup/bowl/pot (the green one) was bought from a thrift shop also down town.

For the table numbers, we had these "mini logs" (irdk what to call them) be made. With the power of our printer, I also printed out the table numbers.

I actually got this idea from the internet he he. Thank you, Google!

We also had these made too where the flowers and balloons are set. This time, its my idea na *wink*.

That's it for the table centerpiece. Some tables had my cacti (yes they're my babies and I've grown them myself) while others had the Lily-type flower.

Time check it's 12:41 am wow I really did stay up all night to get this done. So that's it for the part 1 of my Debut Preparations. Stay in touch to get updated with the next one. -Fat
